Bobby Allen Smith, 65, passed away December 22, 2007 at Hospice Savannah, Inc. He was born in Screven County, Georgia, son of the late John Thomas and Edna NeSmith Smith. Bobby lived in Savannah most of his life and was a member of First Baptist Church of the Islands. He was the owner of the Eagle Barber Shop on Wilmington Island for 36 years. He and his late brother, T.L. “Smitty” Smith worked together until 2004. He was a veteran of United States Army.
Surviving are his wife of 27 years, Betty Cooper Smith of Savannah; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Valerie Smith of Petersburg, MI; grandsons, Tristan and Brennan Smith; sister, Sarah I. Smith of Savannah and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel.
Memorial Service: 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 27, 2007 at First Baptist Church of the Islands with Reverend Brooks Cail, officiating.
Burial will be private.
